“You never really leave a
place you love.”
Did you ever miss
something wonderful for years? You hear a name mentioned or a close friend
says: “You really should try this place, you’d love it!” but you let time
slip away ….
This was basically what happened to us and the inspiring,
lovely Angel Of The Sea and Cape May. Built in 1890 by Philadelphia
chemist William Weightman (the inventor of quinine), the “pretty in pink”
structure is like something right out of your dreams. The current
location (the house was moved twice) is splendid because you are 1 block
away from a wonderful beach.
We chose an attractive,
comfortable Angel Suite with a shared balcony featuring an enticing view
of the Atlantic Ocean. Between 4pm and 5pm daily tea is served so it
was a great opportunity to retire to our balcony with goodies to
experience the calming ocean breezes and magnificent views.
Another value added
feature is the nightly wine and cheese served from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.
During the winter months you always have the parlor area with a blazing
fire to enjoy.
5 of the 10 top
restaurants on New Jersey are located in Cape May just minutes away from
the Angel. If you are anxious to experience some the finest dining in the
area, try The Dinner With A View package offered with The Peter
Shields Inn next door. We found the menu, service and ambience
to be outstanding. The staff at The Angel is friendly and able
to make suggestions taking in to consideration your tastes.

A variety of packages are
offered year round and some of the best values are found mid-week in the
off months. Call Concierge Travel on 201-995-9400 for your getaway at The
Angel.
