Carlisle Bay
is the new sister hotel to the award winning One Aldwych
London. I’ve been traveling
throughout the Caribbean staying at deluxe resorts for the past 2 0 years and
can honestly say the first sight of Carlisle Bay left me speechless. First
of all the setting of this fabulous resort is on the unspoiled south coast
of Antigua. The captivating beach is a dream along with the gorgeous hills
and lush tropical rainforest setting the scene.
The accommodations
consist of 88 suites, from junior to 3 bedroom and all have ocean views from
a private terrace or balcony. All have calm and irresistibly cool
interiors. The spaciousness was most impressive and comfortable. Service
with a smile by an impeccable staff made this a perfect getaway. We felt
our wishes were their command! Afternoon tea at the pool, beach or in your
suite was easily accomplished just by asking. Beach service was the best
I’ve ever seen with fresh fruits, water & ice readily available. So many
more thoughtful touches were executed during our stay and I won’t give all
away because you must experience this place to believe it.
Activities offered are
a variety of water sports including sailing, kayaking, windsurfing (no jet
skis). Gorgeous swimming pool, alluring spa featuring natural products and
nine tennis courts and tennis pro along with a state-of-the-art gym, yoga
and Pilates will satisfy the most active guests.
Both restaurants
Indigo On The Beach serving grills, seafood and healthy options along
with East offering outstanding Asian cuisine are at the top of the
