“As Close To Perfect As You Will Ever Find”
I recently had the pleasure
of staying at Coral Reef Club in Barbados. This lovely family owned hotel
is set on 12 acres of beautifully landscaped tropical gardens. The hotel is
comprised of 88 luxurious rooms, suites, villas and newly built cottages,
some of which have private plunge pools. All the accommodations have patio
or balcony and all are air conditioned.
Coral Reef Club is situated
on the famous west coast of Barbados with its pristine white sand beaches
and the calm azure Caribbean Sea. High Tide Watersports operates all the
beach activities free of charge including waterskiing, windsurfing
sail boating and snorkeling. Scuba is available at a nominal fee.
The restaurant at Coral Reef
Club is one of the finest on the island due largely to Graham Licorish,
Executive chef. They feature both local and international cuisine. There
is also an extensive menu of wines from all over the world.
The crowning glory of Coral
Reef Club is the O’Hara Family and their staff. The service is impeccable
and very friendly. Most of the staff have been there for many years. Every
Monday night Cynthia O’Hara opens her home to all the guests of the hotel
for a cocktail party. It gives everyone the opportunity to meet all the
other guests and the Managing Directors, Patrick and Mark and their lovely
wives. The ambiance there is welcoming and very personal. I felt like I
was visiting friends rather than staying at a hotel.
Coral Reef Club is perfect
for honeymooners as well as families. The very young are just as
comfortable as the senior folks. There is entertainment most nights for
those who aren’t all worn out from the day’s activities. Coral Reef Club is
“as close to a perfect holiday as you will ever find.
